When it rains for days, laundry piles up and clothes take on a musty smell. Mould and odour are caused by damp fabric sitting too long, so the goal is to get clothes fully dry as quickly as you can.
Do not leave wet laundry waiting
A washing machine full of damp clothes starts to smell within hours. Hang or dry items as soon as the cycle ends.
Give clothes space to dry
Crowded racks dry slowly. Leave gaps between items and use a fan to keep air moving indoors.
Check before you put clothes away
Even slightly damp clothes will smell in a cupboard. If something feels cool to the touch, it is not dry yet.
Let us handle the heavy items
Bedsheets, towels and curtains are the hardest to dry indoors. Our bedding and curtain cleaning collects them, washes and disinfects them, and returns them fully dry.
